Working on some makes.

I currently have a Cashmerette Harrison  (2 actually) on the cutting table awaiting to be sewn up. One is in the scissors print that was sold as a kit in her website. The other is in a Liberty of London Tana Lawn in this awesome print!

My son and I put together a DIY mid arm quilting frame a couple of weeks ago. I got the kit through ebay. It is so very, very cool. The loading and unloading is not so fabulous. I have managed to stick myself numerous times pinning the sandwich on the leaders, but I love how nicely everything lays on the frame and how quickly I can get shit done. I mean seriously peeps, I can quilt a twin quilt in 3 sessions of 30 minutes, and I don’t  have to figure out where everything is- I just leave it on the frame in the garage.  Easy peasy! I’ll try to get some pics loaded at some point today.

Shopkins on the cutting table!

Well it’s getting late, my husband just left to go have his sleep study done and I’m about to start on my granddaughters “Shopkins” chennilled quilt. I have already lined all three panels on top of the fleece backing and marked it on the diagonal to start sewing the rows.  I love making these because they are relatively inexpensive and are easy to do in small chunks of time. They tend to be a big hit with the recipient too!
